What data we process, and why
Enquiries and quote requests
When you submit the contact form we process the name, company, phone number, e-mail address, service of interest, location and message you provide, together with the technical data of the submission (time, IP address).
- Purpose: answering your enquiry, preparing a quote, arranging a site survey.
- Legal basis: your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)), and, where a contract is being prepared, steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b)).
- Retention: until the enquiry is resolved and for the period necessary to substantiate any subsequent claim; consent may be withdrawn at any time.
Job applications
On the careers page we process the name, contact details, position applied for and the experience you describe.
- Purpose: assessing your application and contacting you.
- Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a)).
- Retention: until the recruitment process concludes, unless you consent to your data being kept for a longer period.
Website operation
The hosting provider’s server logs record technical data (IP address, browser type, time of visit) as part of normal operation. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the secure operation of the site (Article 6(1)(f)).
Cookies
The site uses cookies strictly necessary for its operation, and — subject to your consent — cookies supporting statistical measurement. You can disable or delete cookies in your browser settings; in that case some functions of the site may not work as intended.
Processors and third parties
We use the following categories of processors in connection with the operation of the website:
- hosting provider (storage of website data);
- analytics service, subject to consent (aggregated visitor statistics).
We do not sell personal data and do not transfer it to third parties for marketing purposes. Data may be disclosed to authorities only where required by law.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- request information about the processing of your data (right of access);
- request rectification of inaccurate data;
- request erasure of your data;
- request restriction of processing;
- object to processing based on legitimate interest;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
To exercise your rights, please write to vikingteamkft@gmail.com or to our registered office. We respond to requests without undue delay, and at the latest within one month.
Remedies
If you consider that your rights have been infringed, you may lodge a complaint with the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH):
