Vehicle-supported guarding for large or hard-to-cover sites

Vehicle-supported guarding is justified where foot patrols cannot provide adequate coverage of the area.

What we provide

Regular inspection across large areas
Coverage of sites without a power supply
Patrol capability over difficult terrain
Continuous supervision of external depots
Modern, branded uniform and vehicle

A closer look

Typical sites

Road, railway and bridge construction, cable and sewer laying, and other hard-to-reach locations — anywhere infrastructure or a power supply is missing.

Mobility and flexibility

Our vehicle-equipped guards move over difficult terrain, so more distant points are also brought into the inspection round.

Service supervision

We check on our guards regularly so that standards are maintained.

Professional appearance

Our guards work in modern, branded uniforms, ensuring a professional presence.

Which sites is it suitable for?

Vehicle-supported guarding is mainly needed on large, changing or hard-to-reach work areas. These may include road and utility works, solar parks, out-of-town machinery yards, temporary depots and industrial areas made up of several separate points.

A vehicle allows the guard to reach more inspection points in less time. This only amounts to a genuine security service, however, if the guard has predefined, documentable duties. Simply driving around the area is not enough.

On-site vehicle guarding or mobile patrol?

The two service models need to be kept clearly apart.

With on-site vehicle guarding the guard remains within the protected area and moves around it by vehicle. This may mean continuous presence or presence for a defined period.

With a mobile patrol the officer arrives at set intervals, carries out the designated checks and then moves on. This is not the same as continuous on-site guarding.

The quote and the contract must state unambiguously which model applies, how frequent the checks are, and what happens if something is found to be wrong.

Frequently asked questions

How is the inspection routine drawn up?

During the site survey we mark the points whose condition matters from a security perspective. These may include the gate, the fence, machinery, fuel storage, a temporary structure or a separate materials store.

It is not advisable to run patrols at exactly the same time and in the same order every occasion, as that becomes predictable. At the same time the service has to remain traceable. Duties should therefore be arranged so that the client can verify performance without the patrol becoming needlessly easy to anticipate.

What documentation is produced?

With vehicle-supported guarding it is especially important to record the inspection points, the times, the condition observed and any action taken. The client is often not present during the round, so the documentation is the basis on which the service can be verified.

The exact documentation method should be matched to the site.

What to look for in a quote

Points to clarify:

  • whether the service is on-site or mobile;
  • the number of checks and the time window;
  • the designated points;
  • how vehicle and fuel costs are handled;
  • the procedure for reporting irregularities;
  • the documentation;
  • what the service does not include.
What determines the price?

Several factors shape the exact fee: the site, the number of hours, day or night duty, the risk level, the headcount required, the technical needs and the extent of documentation. We provide a precise, tailored quote after a free on-site survey.
